Dr. Del-Voda HarrisMy name is Del-Voda Harris, and I am honored to join Churchill High School as the new Assistant Principal. Having served as the assistant principal at Nimitz Middle School over the past year, I am thrilled to embark on this new chapter and join the Churchill cluster.
I hold a Doctoral Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Capella University, a Master of Arts Degree in Curriculum and Instruction-Secondary Education from the University of Houston, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Langston University. With over 20 years of experience in education, I have had the privilege of teaching and influencing students at every level, from elementary school to higher education.
My philosophy on education can be summarized in this belief: students are like trees and birds. First, we must give them roots—grounding them with knowledge, skills, and a strong foundation. Then, we must give them wings, empowering them to soar, grow, and contribute to the world as educators, advisors, and leaders in their own right. As an administrator, educator, and lifelong learner, I inspire students from all walks of life. Teaching the fundamental and advanced skills they need to dream and achieve those dreams is a privilege I hold dearly.
I am eager to join the dedicated staff and dynamic students at Churchill High School, where I aim to help support and enhance the culture of excellence and opportunity that defines the campus.
