What Makes Churchill Special

A Tradition of Academic Excellence

Churchill offers a rigorous curriculum that challenges students to think critically, solve complex problems, and prepare for college, careers, military service, and lifelong learning. From Advanced Placement and Dual Credit courses to specialized academic pathways, students are empowered to pursue their goals with confidence.

Opportunities Beyond the Classroom

Learning extends far beyond the school day. Students can participate in athletics, fine arts, leadership organizations, clubs, Career & Technical Education, and service opportunities that encourage personal growth, collaboration, and school pride.

A Culture of Leadership

Churchill students are encouraged to lead with integrity, embrace challenges, and make meaningful contributions to their school and community. Through involvement and service, students develop the confidence and character to make a positive impact wherever they go.

Charger Community

Churchill is more than a high school—it's a community. Strong relationships among students, families, educators, and alumni create an environment where every Charger is supported, challenged, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Charger Excellence!

Sports Hall of Honor

Sports Hall of Honor was established in 2009 and features former WC athletes who have gone on to excel in college and professional sports.

Lions

Iconic symbol of Churchill Pride and stand guard over our campus. They were donated to Churchill by the Erwin family.

British flag

The British flag is painted on the rooftop of our oldest building on campus.  This can be seen from multiple areas in our community, including from planes landing at the San Antonio International Airport.

Hand sign

Our community loves to share the hand sign in the shape of WC, for Winston Churchill.  It’s a way to show the pride we have for our school.

Patton

At the beginning of the third quarter of football games, our band plays the theme for Patton to inspire our team to continue the fight.  Our spirit groups and crowd participate by standing and encouraging our athletes.

Regional Day School DHH, AI

Churchill proudly serves as the Regional Day School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and the Auditory Impaired.
In addition to our district programs off site at CTEC, Churchill has a number of programs to prepare students for life after high school.  Many students earn IBCs through career and technology courses.  Some IBCs also accepted at some colleges for college credit.

Our Cluster

Welcome to the Churchill Cluster in the North East Independent School District. As a Churchill High School School student, your child will establish a passion, curiosity, and foundation for life-long learning while nurturing their social and emotional skills. Outside of the classroom, your child can embrace what they love or try something new through diverse clubs, programs and organizations.

Your child will discover even more opportunities at Eisenhower and Bradley Middle School. As their academic foundation expands in the classroom, their circle of friends and experiences will grow through new opportunities in Athletics, Fine Arts, Student Council, National Junior Honor Society, competitive UIL contests, and more.

At Churchill High School, your child will excel academically and socially while embracing beloved Charger traditions with memories that will last a lifetime. Your child has the freedom and support to pursue their passions in a variety of nationally recognized programs, organizations, and clubs – from Athletics to JROTC, Band, Dance, PALS, Photography, UIL, and much more.
